The short answer

Pit Stop Roadside Services is a mobile roadside assistance, tire and battery service based in Dallas, TX. Our team has 15+ years in roadside service. Call (214) 367-5302, day or night, and a dispatcher quotes the price on the call and sends a trained, insured technician to your vehicle. Typical arrival in Dallas is 30–45 minutes.

Who is Pit Stop Roadside Services?

Pit Stop Roadside Services LLC is based in Dallas, TX, and brings roadside help to your vehicle instead of asking you to get the vehicle somewhere. We handle dead batteries, lockouts, flat tires, temporary tire plugs and tire replacement, low air, stuck lug nuts and empty tanks, right where you're parked.

Our team has spent 15+ years in roadside service. Our technicians are trained, the service is insured, and we're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You don't need a membership to use us. You call when something goes wrong, hear the price, and pay for that one job.

How does dispatch work?

Every job starts with a conversation. Here is what happens after you call (214) 367-5302.

  • A dispatcher picks up and asks where you are, what you drive and what happened.
  • You hear the full price and an arrival time for your exact spot before anyone drives out, and you pay on the call, by card or app, once you say yes.
  • In Dallas, arrival is typically 30–45 minutes; in farther cities, the dispatcher confirms the arrival time on the call.
  • A trained, insured technician heads your way with the tools the job needs, and you can call dispatch any time for an update.
  • The price on the call is what you pay for the job you described. If the job is different from what you described, you hear the new price before any extra work. You get an itemized receipt.

What if you can't talk on the phone?

Send an online request with your location and a dispatcher calls you back as soon as one is free to go over the price and the ETA. A phone call is still the fastest way to get a technician moving.

Where does Pit Stop work?

Our core coverage is Dallas, Plano, Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Irving, Grand Prairie and Carrollton. In those cities, a technician typically reaches you in 30–45 minutes.

We also serve Farmers Branch, Addison, Arlington, Fort Worth, Frisco and McKinney, where the dispatcher confirms the arrival time on the call, so you can decide before anyone drives out.

We come to where the vehicle is: your driveway, an office or apartment parking lot, a store lot or the shoulder of the road.

Which vehicles and jobs do we handle?

We work on cars, SUVs, pickups, light-duty work trucks, vans and fleet vehicles, and businesses can call dispatch to talk through service for their fleet. These are the jobs we do on the spot.

  • Emergency jump starts, and the technician can check the battery and charging system
  • Mobile battery replacement and battery installation, with the right battery confirmed on the call
  • Vehicle lockouts, opened with proper lockout tools made to avoid damage
  • Flat tire changes using your spare
  • Temporary roadside plugs for small tread punctures, to be repaired from the inside at a tire shop afterward
  • Used and new tire replacement, plus tire delivery and installation when there's no usable spare
  • Air delivery, with the tire inflated to the pressure on your door label
  • Locking and stripped lug nut removal
  • Emergency fuel delivery, enough to reach the nearest station

What don't we do?

We don't tow, do mechanical repair, or service heavy-duty trucks or semis. If what you describe doesn't sound like a roadside fix, the dispatcher tells you before anyone drives out. If the technician only finds it at the car, the service fee applies.

What can you count on with Pit Stop?

A few things stay the same on every call, whatever the job and whatever the hour.

  • The price is set on the call, and it's what you pay for the job you described. If the job is different from what you described, you hear the new price before any extra work. Say no, and we finish what was quoted if we can; if we can't, the service fee applies and the rest is refunded.
  • If the job can't be finished for a reason outside our control, a $35 to $75 service fee replaces the quoted price and the rest is refunded. The dispatcher tells you the exact fee for your job before you pay. If we can't get a technician to you, or can't finish because of something on our side, you get a full refund.
  • No membership and no yearly dues: you pay per call.
  • Price match: have a lower written quote for the same service and vehicle from another roadside company serving your location? Tell the dispatcher before a technician is sent, send a copy the way the dispatcher asks, and Pit Stop matches it. Memberships, insurance benefits and free public programs don't count.
  • An itemized receipt on every call. If your auto policy includes roadside coverage, you can send it to your insurer; whether it pays is up to your policy.
  • Straight answers. A roadside plug is temporary, and if a puncture can't be plugged, we say so and don't plug it.

How we write our guides

Pit Stop's roadside guides are written for Dallas drivers. Each guide lists and links the sources it relies on, such as AAA, NHTSA, the Texas Department of Public Safety, TxDOT, Texas statutes and tire and battery makers, so you can check the details yourself.

Each guide shows the date it was last updated. Laws, prices and products change, so for anything about your own policy, vehicle or situation, check with your insurer, your owner's manual or the agency named in the guide.
