The short answer
Pit Stop Roadside Services offers mobile tire service across Dallas: new and used tire replacement, plus installation at your home, workplace or the roadside. Pit Stop is open 24/7 at (214) 367-5302. Give the sidewall size, and you hear what's available and the full price before anyone drives out. Common sizes ride on the truck, so arrival is typically 30–45 minutes in Dallas; for another size, the dispatcher confirms the arrival time once a tire is found.

What's included in mobile tire replacement
Mobile tire replacement covers cars, SUVs, pickups, vans, light-duty work trucks and fleet vehicles, with the dispatcher confirming a tire in your size before anyone drives out.
- A replacement tire, new or used, in your vehicle's size, with the size, availability and price confirmed on the call
- The damaged tire taken off and the replacement put on your vehicle where it's parked
- A tire brought out for drivers with no usable spare, so a missing or flat spare doesn't leave you stranded
- A look at the damage first, so you hear about anything different before work starts
- Air pressure set to the spec on your driver's door label once the new tire is on
- An itemized receipt that lists the tire and the work
Signs a tire needs replacing, not a plug
- A cut, bulge or puncture in the sidewall or shoulder, where a safe repair isn't possible
- Tread worn down level with the wear bars molded into the grooves
- In NHTSA's penny test, you can see the top of Lincoln's head
- The sidewall date code shows the tire is six or more years old, and NHTSA notes some vehicle and tire makers advise replacing tires at six to 10 years
- You've been driving on the spare because the flat never got replaced
When it's not a roadside fix
A new tire won't fix a bent or cracked wheel, suspension damage or brake trouble; if you describe one of those, the dispatcher tells you before anyone drives out. If no tire in your size is available, you hear that on the call.
Leave the jack in the trunk
Don't start lifting the car yourself on a shoulder. On the Dallas North Tollway or any road with fast traffic, leave the hazards flashing and stay buckled in, and if you do get out, AAA advises leaving on the side away from traffic and waiting beyond the guardrail if one exists. Tell the dispatcher how close you are to traffic, and in a live lane or after a crash, call 911 first.
How mobile tire replacement works
-
Read the size off the tire
Call with the size printed on the tire's sidewall, a code that looks like 225/65R17, plus your vehicle and where it's parked. The dispatcher checks what's available in that size, new or used, and gives you one price and an ETA.
-
The damage gets checked
The technician looks at the damage on the old tire before fitting the replacement. If anything is different from what you described on the call, you hear about it before work starts.
-
The replacement goes on where you are
That can be your driveway in Lake Highlands, a workplace lot or a parking lot you pulled into off I-30. The damaged tire comes off and the replacement goes on, with no trip to a tire shop on a spare.
-
Pressure set, then you're rolling
The new tire is inflated to your vehicle maker's spec before the technician leaves. You already paid on the call, so keep the itemized receipt in case your insurer asks for it.
How much does mobile tire replacement cost in Dallas?
The dispatcher gives you one total on the phone, and that's what you pay for the job you described. You pay Pit Stop Roadside Services LLC on the call once you've heard the price and the arrival time and said yes, before a technician is sent.
If plans change: refunds and fees
- Before you payYou hear one total and the arrival time. Say no and it costs nothing.
- Within 5 minutes of payingCancel for a full refund.
- Until the technician arrivesAfter that, you can still cancel and pay only the $35 to $75 service fee. The rest is refunded.
- At the carDone as described, the quote is all you pay. Can't be finished for a reason outside our control? The service fee replaces the price and the rest is refunded.
If we can't get a technician to you, or can't finish because of something on our side, you get a full refund. The dispatcher tells you the exact fee for your job before you pay.
If the job changes, can't be finished or isn't safe, and used tires
- If the job changes
- If the job is different from what you described, you hear the new price before any extra work. Say no, and we finish what was quoted if we can; if we can't, the service fee applies and the rest is refunded.
- If it can't be finished
- If the reason is outside our control (the car needs a mechanic, the details given weren't right, or nobody is at the vehicle), a $35 to $75 service fee replaces the price and the rest is refunded. The dispatcher tells you the exact fee for your job before you pay.
- If the spot isn't safe
- If the spot you describe isn't one we can work in safely, the dispatcher tells you before you pay. If the technician finds at the car that it can't be done safely, for example in a live traffic lane, and the car can't be moved somewhere safer, the job can't be finished for a reason outside our control: the $35 to $75 service fee applies and the rest is refunded.
- Used tires
- Used tires are sold as-is unless the dispatcher states a warranty on the call. If the used tire doesn't match what the dispatcher described on the call (size, tread depth or age), that's on us: we find another tire, with a new arrival time, or you get a full refund. If it matches and you change your mind before it's mounted, only the service fee applies.
We match written quotes
Have a lower written quote for the same service and vehicle from another roadside company serving your location? Tell the dispatcher before a technician is sent, send a copy the way the dispatcher asks, and we match it. Memberships, insurance benefits and free public programs don't count.
No membership
Pay per call. No yearly dues and no sign-up.
An itemized receipt
If your auto policy includes roadside coverage, you can send the itemized receipt to your insurer; whether it pays is up to your policy.
Pay your way
Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Venmo and PayPal.
What the price depends on
- New or used, and the tire size your vehicle takes
- How many tires you need replaced
- Your vehicle, from a compact car to a pickup, light-duty work truck or van
- How far the technician drives to reach your driveway, lot or roadside spot
- A late-night call far from our Dallas base, which can cost more
Mobile tire service: questions people ask
How much does mobile tire service cost in Dallas?
Pit Stop quotes one total for the tire job on the phone before anyone drives out. It depends on the tire, how many you need and where the car is, and it's what you pay for the job you described. Have a lower written quote for the same service and vehicle from another roadside company serving your location? Tell the dispatcher before a technician is sent, send a copy the way the dispatcher asks, and Pit Stop matches it.
Do you install new tires or used tires?
Both. Pit Stop offers new and used tire replacement where the vehicle is parked. What's available depends on your tire size, so the dispatcher confirms the size, whether a new or used tire is on hand for it and the price on the call. Specific brands aren't promised ahead of time.
My wheels have locking lug nuts and the key is missing. Can you still replace the tire?
Yes. A locking lug nut with a lost key, or a nut that's rounded or stripped, is something Pit Stop removes, so the damaged tire can still come off. Tell the dispatcher about the wheel lock at (214) 367-5302, and the lug nut removal and the tire replacement are priced together before a technician drives out to you.
I don't have a spare. Can you still help?
Yes. Tire delivery and installation is meant for drivers without a usable spare, whether the car came without one or the spare is flat or damaged. Once the dispatcher locates a tire in your size, the technician brings it and installs it where the car is. Tell the dispatcher at (214) 367-5302 that you have no spare.
What size tire do I need?
NHTSA says to check your owner's manual or the Tire and Loading Information label on the driver's door edge or post. The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association adds that a replacement should match the recommended size, load index and speed rating, and never be smaller or carry less load. Read the full code to the Pit Stop dispatcher at (214) 367-5302.
Can I replace just one tire?
You can, but USTMA recommends replacing all four tires at once. It says one new tire can affect suspension, transmission and tread wear, and if that can't be avoided, to pair it with the tire that has the deepest tread and put both on the rear axle. Tell the Pit Stop dispatcher how worn your other tires are before you decide.
Should I repair my tire instead of buying a new one?
Only if the damage allows it. USTMA limits repairs to the tread area, rules out punctures wider than 1/4 inch and any damage reaching the shoulder, and says a repair can't overlap an earlier one. A new tire is the answer when your damage falls outside those limits. If it may be repairable, ask the dispatcher about a temporary roadside plug, followed by a tire shop repair from the inside.
Does a work truck or van need a particular kind of tire?
It needs one that matches what the vehicle maker recommends. Your door label lists a load index and speed rating; ask the dispatcher to confirm the replacement tire meets them. Pit Stop replaces tires on light-duty work trucks, vans and pickups, not semis or heavy-duty trucks. Read the full size code off the sidewall when you call (214) 367-5302, and you hear whether a tire in your size is available and the price before anyone drives out.
While you wait
- Say exactly where it's parked. Give the address, the lot or garage level and the nearest entrance, so the technician drives straight to it.
- Have the keys ready. For a tire job, have the wheel lock key too, if your wheels have locks.
- Leave room to work. If you can, clear some space beside the car where the technician will work.
- Keep your phone free. The dispatcher may call back to confirm the spot. Keep the line open and the phone charged.
