Terms and conditions
Effective October 12, 2026
These terms apply when you request or receive roadside service from Pit Stop Roadside Services LLC ("Pit Stop", "we") or use this website. They are posted at www.pitstoproadservicetx.com/terms/, and the dispatcher can point you to them before you pay.
What we do, and what we don't
We provide light-duty mobile roadside service for cars, SUVs, pickups, vans and light-duty work trucks where they are parked: jump starts, battery replacement and installation, lockouts, flat tire changes, temporary plugs for small tread punctures, new and used tire installation, tire delivery, air, lug nut removal and fuel delivery.
We don't tow, do mechanical repairs or repair rims. We are not a locksmith: we open vehicles, and we don't cut, program or rekey keys. If what you describe doesn't sound like a roadside fix, the dispatcher tells you before anyone drives out. If the technician only finds it at the car, a $35 to $75 service fee (you hear the exact amount before you pay) replaces the price and the rest is refunded.
Quotes and prices
- The dispatcher quotes the price on the phone before a technician drives out, based on what you describe: the service, the vehicle and the location.
- If the job is different from what you described, you hear the new price before any extra work. Say no, and we finish what was quoted if we can; if we can't, the service fee applies and the rest is refunded.
- If the technician arrives and the job can't be finished for a reason outside our control, such as the car needing a mechanic, details on the call that weren't right, or nobody at the vehicle, a $35 to $75 service fee replaces the quoted price and the rest is refunded. The dispatcher tells you the exact fee for your job before you pay.
- If we can't get a technician to you, or can't finish because of something on our side, you get a full refund. That includes not having the right tire or battery for your vehicle.
- Price match: Have a lower written quote for the same service and vehicle from another roadside company serving your location? Tell the dispatcher before a technician is sent, send a copy the way the dispatcher asks, and we match it. Memberships, insurance benefits and free public programs don't count.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancel within 5 minutes of paying and you get a full refund. After that, you can still cancel before the technician arrives and pay only the $35 to $75 service fee; the rest is refunded. If you cancel after the technician arrives but before work starts, the service fee applies and the rest is refunded. If we can't get a technician to you, or can't finish because of something on our side, you get a full refund. "Can't get a technician to you" means we cancel the job, or tell you we can't reach your spot. If the job can't be finished for a reason outside our control, you pay only the service fee described above and the rest is refunded.
To cancel, call (214) 367-5302. Refunds go back to the card or payment app you paid with. The terms in effect when you pay apply to that job.
Arrival times
Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather and other calls can change them. You can call dispatch any time for an update. A typical arrival in Dallas is 30–45 minutes, but we don't guarantee a specific time.
Payment
We accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Venmo and PayPal. You pay Pit Stop Roadside Services LLC on the call once you've heard the price and the arrival time and said yes, before a technician is sent. To pay by card over the phone, you must be the cardholder. You get an itemized receipt. Whether your insurer or motor club reimburses you is between you and them.
Your part
- Give us accurate information about the vehicle, the problem and where it is.
- You must own the vehicle or be authorized to have work done on it. We open vehicles only for the owner or an authorized driver. The technician may ask for ID or the registration once the door is open, even if it was locked inside.
- Stay somewhere safe while you wait. If you're hurt, in a crash or stopped in a live lane, call 911 first.
Safety comes first
A technician may decline or pause work if the location or the vehicle isn't safe, for example in a live traffic lane, or if a tire or battery is too damaged to service safely. A tire or battery that turns out too damaged to service is handled like a changed job: you hear the price of the alternative before any extra work, and if you say no, the service fee applies and the rest is refunded. If the spot you describe isn't one we can work in safely, the dispatcher tells you before you pay. If the technician finds at the car that it can't be done safely, for example in a live traffic lane, and the car can't be moved somewhere safer, the job can't be finished for a reason outside our control: the $35 to $75 service fee applies and the rest is refunded. A roadside plug is a temporary repair for a small puncture in the tread. Have the tire inspected and repaired from the inside by a tire shop as soon as possible. We don't plug sidewall or shoulder damage; we offer a replacement tire or put on your spare instead.
Responsibility
If you think something was damaged during the service, tell the technician before they leave, or call (214) 367-5302 as soon as you notice, so we can look into it.
New batteries carry the manufacturer's warranty, if any; ask the dispatcher for its terms before you pay. Used tires are sold as-is unless the dispatcher states a warranty on the call. If the used tire doesn't match what the dispatcher described on the call (size, tread depth or age), that's on us: we find another tire, with a new arrival time, or you get a full refund. If it matches and you change your mind before it's mounted, only the service fee applies.
We do the work with care and appropriate tools. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions, or for problems caused by information that wasn't accurate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Texas law that can't be waived.
